Winery Notes: The 2022 Pirate is deep ruby in color, with enticing aromas of blackberry pie, black cherry and plum, with a touch of earthiness. Black fruit driven with some toasty French oak enhancements and nice layering of the blend components.  Flavors are big and bold – dense blackberry-type fruit and some savory notes across the palate reminds me of a GSM 
blend with hints of Chinese 5-spice, cranberry, and a touch of vanilla. Really nice length and balance in this fun red blend. - ARGHHH!
